This German Shorthaired Pointer hunting dog has all the genetics of a fantastic gun dog. Dakota is a high-energy German Shorthaired Pointer. Even as she matures, she is a top-energy pet, and hunting dog trainers favor her breed. But, of course, staying active helps maintain their activity level. Fortunately, Dakota’s owner spends lots of time playing with her, taking her swimming, and laughing at her crazy expressions. I recently saw photos of her appearing in the dock dogs scene. Most owners enjoy this dog’s friendly demeanor and work habits. German Shorthaired Pointers are some of the happiest dogs I’ve ever met. Along with being happy, they’re amazing to watch work in the field and even just retrieving at the park. The other great thing about this breed is their ability to relax at home.
